Volunteer
Volunteers are valued members of the Catholic Healthcare team and play an integral role in improving the quality of life for the sick, frail, elderly and marginalised people we serve.
With the help of volunteers, we can extend and enhance the many services and activities offered to our clients, residents and patients.
Most of our residential, hospital and community services have active and invaluable programs run by volunteers, and we have both long-term and short-term volunteer roles available.
Wil and Wei's story

Sixty-four-year-old Sydney artist Wil has taken a young man under his wing through Catholic Healthcare's Community Visitors Scheme, giving 23-year-old Wei Zhao painting lessons once a fortnight. But it might be surprising to learn that Wil isn't the volunteer in this relationship. Read more of Wil and Wei's story
Why volunteer?

Volunteering with Catholic Healthcare provides the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the people we care for.
There is a real satisfaction in knowing that you've improved the quality of life for someone else, plus you can learn new skills, make new friends and have a lot of fun in the process!
