Sr Joanne Kirk RSM
Chair of Trustees
Sr Joanne Kirk is the former Congregational Leader of the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney. She brings many years of experience in health and aged care governance to Catholic Healthcare.
During her time as Congregational Leader, Sr Joanne was instrumental in forming partnerships with other organisations to assure the future of the Order's institutions. This included facilitating the St Vincent's/Mater merger, the handing over to the Diocese of Broken Bay the Social Welfare Services of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy and the transfer of its aged and community care ministries - McQuoin Park Waitara, Justinian House Crows Nest, Mercy Arms Waterloo and Mercy Community Care - to Catholic Healthcare Limited in 2004.
Sr Joanne is a non-executive director of St Vincent's Mater Health Sydney and Friends of the Mater Foundation. She is also a member of the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney Congregational Aged Care Committee.
Mr Herbie O'Flynn

Herbie O'Flynn has been the General Manager of the Catholic Development Fund since April 1987 and is actively involved in all major financial and pastoral activities of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. In July 2003 Herbie was appointed Archdiocesan Financial Administrator, still retaining the role of CDF General Manager. He is currently a Commissioner on CCER, Chair of the Parish Sub-Committee; a member of the Church Resources ICT Committee; and a member of St John of God Australia Ltd.
Herbie has served on the Archdiocesan Pastoral Planning Committee and Diocesan Pastoral Council, and was the lay joint chairperson of the last Synod. He has been a major facilitator of Parish regionalisation and his responsibilities at the Archdiocese include financial policy and management, aged care, employment and staffing, child protection, property development, legal, and compliance with legislation. Herbie is a retired Army Officer, Vietnam Veteran and holds tertiary qualifications in Mathematics and Communication Engineering.
Br Julian Liddiard OH
Br Julian Liddiard is a Provincial Councillor for the St John of God Brothers in Australasia. He is experienced in the areas of psychiatric nursing, counselling and working with homeless people with mental health problems.
Br Julian was a non-executive director of Hawkesbury District Health Service Limited (HDHS) from 1994 to 2005, and a non-executive director of Catholic Healthcare Limited from 1994 to 2004. Br Julian was a member of the HDHS Community Board of Advice for eight years, and was a non-executive director of Wentworth Area Health Board for four years.
Mrs Maureen McCabe OAM
Mrs Maureen McCabe OAM is a member of various charitable organisations, and has a keen interest in community services. From 1991 to 1999, Maureen was a non-executive director of Mater Hospital and from 2001 to 2004 she was a non-executive director of St Vincent's & Mater Health Sydney. Maureen holds a Diploma of Education.
Maureen is currently a director of St Vincent's Clinic and a member of several committees within the St Vincent's and Mater Health Group.
Ms Brigid Tracey AM
Ms Brigid Tracey has extensive experience in the healthcare system, and recently retired from her role as Director of Nursing at St Vincent's Private Hospital, Darlinghurst, a position she held from 1993 to 2004. She is a qualified registered nurse and midwife with a Bachelor of Nursing and Graduate Diploma of Nursing Administration. Over the last 20 years, Brigid has presented at many conferences and seminars on healthcare management and nursing issues, and is passionate about the philosophy of Catholic healthcare.
In 2001, Brigid was appointed a member of the General Division of the Order of Australia.
Ms Vivienne Llewellyn
Vivienne Llewellyn is currently the Director of Centacare Bathurst having previously led Centacare agencies in both Newcastle and Townsville.
Vivienne holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and has a background in social work, nursing and teaching. She has been a member of numerous Boards and committees for community based organisations, and has chaired a number of these including Ministerial Advisory Committees, Catholic hospital and nursing home Boards, as well as being an executive member of a number of national organisations including the Australian Association of Social Workers and Centacare Australia.
Vivienne has also provided consultancy services for religious congregations, parishes and government.
Mr Ray Reynolds
Ray Reynolds JP has been involved with Aged Care for the past 15 years in the St Vincent de Paul Society. This has been in the capacity as a member then President of a Management Committee at an Aged Care service at Revesby NSW. In 2003, he was appointed Vice President Aged Care on the NSW State Council of the St Vincent de Paul Society (Society).
Ray recommended that the Society establish a company for the Aged & Special Care Services (ASCS Company) to centrally manage the diverse group of 20 aged care services which the Society owned at that time. He was appointed as Chairman of the ASCS Company which achieved profitability within two years before the sale to Catholic Healthcare Limited.
Ray has participated in Parish Councils as Chairman, involved in establishing an Antioch group in Revesby and then being involved in pre marriage preparation in the ‘Together As One” programme which has been highly successful. He is also an Acolyte at the St. Luke's parish at Revesby. He works for the NSW Police in a voluntary capacity as a Volunteer In Policing. In this position, he assists police with electronic analysis of CCTV and various other specialist programs used for identification purposes.
Ray has a diploma in Electronics Engineering and had a long and successful career with Telstra, AUSSAT, and ABC Television and then retired after being appointed Director Broadcast Telecommunications for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
