Chris Rigby

Chris is the founding Managing Director of Catholic Healthcare and its subsidiaries. In previous roles, Chris founded the Australian Catholic Health Care Association and the John Plunkett Centre for Ethics at the Australian Catholic University and St Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst. Chris began his career in healthcare as a lecturer in Bioethics at the Australian Catholic University.

Graeme Harding

Chief Financial Officer


Graeme joined Catholic Healthcare in July 2007 as Chief Financial Officer having had over 35 years experience in Financial Management involving 16 years with the health sector. Graeme has had experience in both the public sector and the not-for-profit sector and The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Graeme is reponsible for the Accounting, Financial Management, Financial Planning and treasury functions within Catholic Healthcare.

Sam Galluccio

General Manager, Human Resources

Prior to joining Catholic Healthcare in October 2008, Sam worked for UnitingCare Ageing for three years as the Director of People, Learning and Culture. Sam brings over 20 years experience in HR and change management, including 8 years with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service where he played a leading role in the transition of the NSW Blood Transfusion Service from the public health sector. He also held other strategic HR roles during his time at the ARCBS, both at a State and national level. Sam completed a Master of Business Degree in Employment Relations in 1999.

A key focus of his current role, as General Manager - Human Resources, is to lead the various workforce programs designed to attract and retain skilled and committed staff. This includes a range of systems, policies and practices, and learning programs to support our people in delivering the best service they can.

Nick Mersiades

General Manager, Strategic Policy and Communications


Joining Catholic Healthcare in August 2006, Nick has had more than 30 years experience working in a number of Australian Government Departments, including 16 years in aged and health care. In his most recent role as First Assistant Secretary of the Ageing and Aged Care Division in the Department of Health and Ageing, Nick was responsible for the development of policy for, and management of, the Australian Government's residential and community aged care programs. In his role as General Manager, Strategic Policy & Communications, Nick is responsible for leading the organisation's strategic planning, influencing policy, driving reform focus on improving care delivery and overseeing the organisation's marketing and communications activities.

Dominic Arcamone

Manager, Mission and Pastoral Services

Dominic has 28 years experience in Pastoral Care. Prior to his appointment at Catholic Healthcare, Dominic was the Pastoral Care Co-ordinator in New South Wales for Mission Australia, with responsibility for 25 individual services across community welfare services, job network and training facilities. At Catholic Healthcare, prior to Dominic's role as Manager, Mission and Pastoral Services, Dominic was the Manager of Pastoral Care for Community Services.

Wendy Jeskie

Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Midwife (CM), BA Applied Science, Grad Dip Mgt (Mt Eliza)
General Manager, Residential Aged Care


Wendy joined Catholic Healthcare as a result of the transfer of St Vincent de Paul Aged and Special Care Services Ltd, where Wendy was Chief Executive Officer. Wendy was instrumental in setting up the Society's aged care company and has previously occupied senior management positions for major non-profit organisations providing aged care services.

Wendy began her career in the public health system and later practiced as a midwife in Scotland and Australia before deciding to develop her management career in the aged care specialty. She has been involved at all levels of aged care and has had a keen interest in developing aged care specific pastoral care work and innovative practices such as a School of Aged Care providing career pathways for aged care workers.

David Maher

General Manager, Healthcare


David has served as the General Manager of Hawkesbury District Healthcare Service (HDHS) since June 2001 and in August 2006, David was appointed as General Manager, Acute Care and Hawkesbury District Health Service. In May 2008, David was appointed as General Manager, Healthcare.

In this role David oversees the strategic direction, management and development of Catholic Healthcare's acute and sub-acute hospitals' health and community services. Prior to joining Catholic Healthcare, David worked in various management and finance roles for Health Care of Australia (Mayne Health) and NSW Public Hospitals. He has also worked in the public and private hospital sectors in London, New Zealand and the Middle East. David began his health career in Management Consulting with Price Waterhouse.

Janis Redford

General Manager, Community Services


With over 20 years experience working in the public health sector both as a clinician and a manager, Janis joined Catholic Healthcare in August 2006. Prior to Catholic Healthcare, Janis was Manager Community Services NSW/ACT for Mission Australia where she had responsibility for delivering a range of services to disadvantaged individuals and their families at 110 sites throughout metropolitan, regional and rural NSW. In her role as General Manager, Community Care, Janis is responsible for leading a diverse and innovative range of client-centred community care services.
