Rosa's Story

Rosa is an 85-year-old widow with three adult children, two of whom live interstate.

Rosa has lived on her own for the past five years but in the last year or so, she has found it more difficult to tidy the house and prepare her own meals. Both Rosa and her family recognised it was time to think about Rosa's future care needs.

After some discussion, Rosa decided to move into a residential aged care community that provides a low level of care. With her own room and ensuite, Rosa likes her new home. She doesn't have to worry about lunch or dinner or even the laundry. She fills her day with bingo, poetry reading and talking with her new friends.
