Our Lady of Loreto Gardens is a thriving 60 place residential aged care service, offering its residents a caring, comfortable and safe environment to call home. Located at Hamlyn Terrace on the Central Coast of NSW, this community offers low care and high care services, including a secure dementia unit (21 places).

Our Lady of Loreto Gardens is set in peaceful, garden surrounds and features a solarium overlooking gardens where residents can spend time reading, relaxing and enjoying visits from friends and family. There is a room for quiet reflection, which may also be used as a chapel. As part of the recreational services of Our Lady of Loreto Gardens, a bus is provided to take residents on outings.

The residents are able to access the services and activities of the neighbouring Warnervale Wellness Centre, an innovative respite service which opened in early 2008. The Centre provides another outlet for social activities for residents, pet therapy, arts and crafts, health specialist services as well as hairdressing.

Our Lady of Loreto Gardens is fully accredited by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency.

History

Our Lady of Loreto Gardens was established by the St Vincent De Paul Society in June 2004. When first created, it was the Society's most advanced, state-of-the-art residential aged care service. Our Lady of Loreto Gardens joined Catholic Healthcare in March 2007.

Since first opening, Our Lady of Loreto Gardens has fostered a close relationship with the nearby MacKillop Parish and Catholic College. Pastoral care volunteers regularly visit, with school students also visiting at various times throughout the year.
