Clergy & Congregational Care
Ageing is a normal part of life's rhythm. With this in mind, Catholic Healthcare's Clergy and Congregational Care service is motivated to enrich lives through an approach that is based on active, healthy ageing.
The membership of Catholic Healthcare comprises Dioceses, Parishes and Religious Congregations and as such, Catholic Healthcare respects and values the traditions of these groups and desires to actively serve and support them, through its networks and resources.
Catholic Healthcare appreciates the special responsibility that leaders of Religious Congregations and Dioceses have to their members. It can be a time of concern in terms of sourcing helpful information and planning for future needs. Through its Catholic tradition and specialist knowledge of aged and community care, our organisation seeks to be of special service to these members of our Church community. We strive to provide these services in a sensitive, confidential and professional manner.
Catholic Healthcare's Clergy and Congregational Care service works with Religious Congregational leadership teams and Dioceses. The service aims to support you to respond effectively to the complex issues of an ageing population and to promote active healthy ageing among your members.
Working collaboratively with you we aim to:
- Understand the history, culture, charism and specific needs of your Congregation or Diocese.
- Develop a plan tailored to meet the identified needs.
- Implement the plan for the benefit of the individual members and your Congregation or Dioceses.
- Tailor our services to meet the specific needs of your individual members
- Provide support and coordination of services to individuals to enable them to remain independent and active in the community.
- Provide advice to your Congregation or Diocese on ageing issues and policies.
- Offer ongoing advice concerning older members, whose care needs may change.
