Bill & Margaret's story

Bill and Margaret are 81 and 79 respectively. They lead active, full lives with four children and seven grandchildren.

Bill and Margaret have lived in the same house for the past 40 years. In recent years they've talked about moving into a smaller, low-maintenance home.

Supported by their family, Bill and Margaret chose to move into the local retirement village. It offers them independence and freedom.

Bill and Margaret love their new lifestyle. Their three-bedroom unit is much more manageable and has enough space for the grandkids to stay overnight. Bill tends to his courtyard garden and Margaret enjoys her weekly womens' bridge game. Every Friday night, they look forward to the community barbecue where they catch up with their new friends. Best of all, they feel comforted knowing care and domestic support is available if needed. This care and support would be provided through community care services.
